Playing cards and field

Playing cards and decks

Standard 52 deck of cards is used

One deck of cards can be used with a max of 4 players

Individual decks can also be used with no limit to the number of players, as Raka Warriors scales with as many players as you want.

Single deck games will always have Raka No Limit, while games with individual decks can choose between Raka No Limit and Raka Limited

 

Playing Field

We start of having 2 rows, 5 slots for ability cards (back row) and 3 slots for warrior cards (front row). Raka rock cards are kept facedown either behind or on the side of the player’s field

 

Starting the game

The deck or decks are shuffled and cut, then each player starts with 5 cards. Each player draws 1 card in the draw phase. You cannot attack a player that did not get their turn yet.

 

Bricked hand

If players don’t have a warrior card in their opening hand before the game starts, do the following

Single deck game the deck is reshuffled and cards redistributed

Individual decks, reshuffle only the decks of the players with no warrior cards

This can only happen once in the game.

 

 

How to win

First one to collect all 7 Raka Rocks

Your opponent throws in the towel

You activate the Raka Cannon

First rock always comes from the deck

How to collect Raka Rocks

Defeat your opponent’s warriors in battle this gives you 1 rock

Attack your opponent directly gives you 2 rocks

To collect rocks, take the top card or cards from the deck and place it in your rock pile

How you lose rocks

When your opponent defeats your warrior in battle you loose 1 rock

When your opponent attacks you directly you loose 2 rocks (give up 1 If you don’t have 2 yet)

Take the x no. of rock cards from your pile and place it in your hand

Only 7 Raka Rocks can exist in the game at all times.

Game phases

This game has a total of 4 phases when the game starts you can only attack when all players draw a card and play their first turn

Draw phase

You draw a single card from the deck. Activate mega skills.

Main Phase one

Deploy a single warrior, apply equipment cards to warriors, play and set ability cards

Super player skills can also be activated and countered.

Battle phase

Declare an attack on your opponent, each warrior can initiate an attack once. Traps can be activated if the conditions are met. Super player skills can also be activated and countered.

Main phase two

You can only set cards facedown

Super player skills can also be activated and countered.

Game styles

Here we have different unique ways to play the game with your friends. Raka Warriors can also be played with players having individual decks (Draw from your own deck when draw card is required)

 

1v1 Battle

2 players each play starts with 5 cards. First person to collect all 7 Raka Rocks wins the game

 

3 and 4 player Battle

All players each start with 5 cards. First person to collect all 7 Raka Rocks wins the game

Other players can activate player skills even when its not their turn

 

Elimination mode

If a player has no Raka Rocks and gets attacked directly, they are eliminated from the game. If you playing with a single deck, then all that players cards are discarded.

The game stops when a player’s deck is finished. That player loses the game

 

Free for all War

With individual decks, you can have as many players as you want all battling it out to collect the 7 Raka Rocks

Card Types

Warriors

Each warrior has hit points, these hit points (hp) determine how strong they are at attacking and defending. A warrior is defeated if the attacking warriors hit points are greater. Warriors just clash if their Hit points are equal. Warriors require 2 hits before they are defeated, when a warrior takes the first hit, the card is rotated 45 degrees.

King (Crown)

Hit Point 20

Effect: Heavy Hammer

When this king is deployed pop one of your opponent’s back row card.

Queen (Royal)

Hit Point 15

Effect: Battle Harden

If this queen is only warrior on your side of the field and is attacked increase her hit points by +5 (only on the first attack in a chain)

 

Jack (Knight)

Hit Point 10

Effect: Healing Might

Once per turn, this jack can heal himself

Ace (First Class)

Hit Point 5

Effect: Warrior of Legend

Cannot be activated if ace has equipment attached to it. Once per turn, Ace HP is now 25 until the end of the turn, end of the turn the Ace is removed from the field if Ace does not clash with a warrior. You cannot attach any equipment to the Ace card while this skill is active. This effect one shots

 

Ability Card Types

Ability cards help the player change the game; they are three types of ability cards equipment, traps and utility.

 

Equipment

Only 1 equipment card can be attached to a warrior at any given time, you can attach as many equipment’s to different warriors as you can. You can attach equipment to opponent’s warriors during your main phase 1.

 

Number 2

Lil Weapon

Adds +5 hit points to a warrior

 

Number 3

Big Weapon

Adds +10 hit points to a warrior

 

Number 4

Armor

Blocks one attack from a warrior, armor will break if the hit point of the attacking warrior is equal or greater than the warrior with the armor

 

Utility

Utility cards can only be played in your main phase 1 and cannot be chain with other cards

 

Number 5

Chain lighting

Pop 1 of your opponent’s back row card, up to 3 players

 

Number 6

Acid barrel

Remove equipment from a warrior on the field

 

Number 7

Brown Box

Draw 2 cards

 

Traps

Must be set first and then activate when the conditions are met

 

Number 8

Energy

Increase hit points by +10 until end of battle, your opponent can chain another energy in response

 

Number 9

Smoke bomb

When your opponent attacks, you can change its target or stop the attack completely (cannot attack itself or any if its ally warriors)

 

Number 10

Spring board

When your opponent attacks, return the attacking warrior to the hand. Attached equipment is discarded.

Player Abilities

Supers

Supers are skills done by any player in the game, they are quick play skills and can be done during main phase 1, 2 and battle phase. Supers are always activated by means of discarding cards hence it can be activated from the hand.

Note: Only ONE super can be activated per turn and only ONE counter can be done per turn

 

Fog (Discard No.2 and No.10 cards to activate)

Ability: Stop all combat in the current turn, ends battle phase

Counters: Tundra

Countered by: Tornado

Tornado (Discard No.3 and No.9 cards to activate)

Ability: Strip all equipment from your opponent’s warriors

Counters: Fog

Countered by: Tundra

Tundra (Discard No.4 and No.8 cards to activate)

Ability: Locks your opponent’s back row until the end of the turn

Counters: Tornado

Countered by: Fog

 

Mega

Mega skills only take place during the draw phase, instead of drawing a card you can activate a mega skills. You must discard the required cards from the hand.

 

.50 Caliber Sniper Shot (Discard 1 No.5 & No.6 cards)

One shot one of your opponent’s warriors (you don’t collect raka rock as it was not done in battle)

 

Scrap Metal (Discard 1 No.6 & No.7 cards)

Take ONE warrior card and ONE equipment card from your discard pile

Medic (Discard 1 No.7 & No.5 cards)

Heal all warriors on your side of the field

 

Ultimate’s

Raka Railgun: Quad Damage

This ultimate attack does Quad Damage and you need the following

Cards 2 4 6 8 facedown

Discard 4 cards

Select a warrior on your side of the field. The total hit points for quad damage are calculated as follows (warriors base hp x 4) + equipment

e.g. Queen with big weapon would be (15 x 4) + 10 = 70 Hit points

The warrior can now attack 6 times and one shots Note RR cannot attack directly

Opponents back row is locked till the end of RR

Opponents can’t use super skills

Warrior abilities are disabled

Once Raka Railgun fires the warrior loses all equipment, armor and the hit points is reduced to 0

You collect Raka Rocks for each warrior you beat given that opponent has Rocks

Only ONE Raka Railgun can be called per game, whoever gets it first gets it

 

Raka Cannon

How to build it

Then discard four random cards from your hand

You need King Queen Jack of the same suit to be played on the field. Then play an ace with the same suit to activate the cannon and win the game
